Ingeborg Bachmann (Austrian German: [ˈɪŋəbɔrɡ ˈbaxman]; 25 June 1926 – 17 October 1973) was an Austrian poet and author. She is regarded as one of the major voices of German-language literature in the 20th century. In 1963, she was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature by German philologist Harald Patzer.

Paul Celan (; German: [ˈtseːlaːn]; born Paul Antschel; 23 November 1920 – c. 20 April 1970) was a German-speaking Romanian poet, Holocaust survivor, and literary translator. He adopted his pen name (an anagram of the Romanian spelling Ancel) following the war and resided in France from 1949, becoming a naturalized French citizen in 1955.

Celan is regarded as one of the most important figures in German-language literature of the post-World War II era and a poet whose verse has gained an immortal place in the literary pantheon. Celan's poetry, with its many radical poetic and linguistic innovations, is characterized by a complicated and cryptic style that deviates from poetic conventions.

Makss Rūdolfs Frišs (vācu: Max Rudolf Frisch, dzimis 1911. gada 15. maijā, miris 1991. gada 4. maijā) bija šveiciešu rakstnieks, dramaturgs un arhitekts, viens no nozīmīgākajiem vācu valodā rakstošajiem autoriem pēc Otrā pasaules kara, līdzās Frīdriham Dirrenmatam ietekmīgākais pēckara Šveices autors. Friša izcilākie darbi ir romāni "Štillers" (Stiller, 1954), "Homo faber" (Homo faber, 1957), "Saukšu sevi par Gantenbeinu" (Meine Name sei Gantenbein, 1964). Šie darbi tulkoti un izdoti arī latviešu valodā. Latviski izdoti arī romāni "Montauka" (Montauk, 1975) un "Zilbārdis" (Blaubart, 1982).
